Navigating the Future of Events with Expertise and Innovation
It’s been quite the journey since I first joined Accredit Solutions as a client back in 2016 and then became part of the team in 2019. Now, as the Director of Major Events & Operations, my role involves working closely with clients to deliver specialised events efficiently using the Accredit platform and leveraging my expertise to implement best practices and approaches in an ever-evolving industry.
2024 kicked off with a trip to Florida, where we began preparations with stakeholders for the Miami F1 Grand Prix in May. This will be the second year in which Accredit serves as the accreditation provider for system and operations where we look to build on the experiences of 2023 to deliver a successful project in a busy F1 calendar.
In January, the schedule was announced for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 in the USA and West Indies. As the ninth edition of this prestigious 20-over showcase, the tournament will span three venues in the USA and six in the Caribbean. We are proud to share that Accredit will once again be at the helm, providing our full range of accreditation services and the platform for the eighth time since our partnership began in 2016.
In addition to the Grand Prix, I’ve been working closely with our Accredit Clients to prepare for their first major events in 2024. This includes the EFL Carabao Cup Final, which is set to be the first major event of the year at Wembley Stadium. We have worked closely to ensure they have an accreditation solution that works for both their venue staff and also their wide range of events stakeholders. It is great to see how they use the system in a variety of ways.
As we gear up for the year ahead, I’ve been thinking about the trends that 2024 might bring. One significant shift I see is towards automation which will play a pivotal role in streamlining the way registration processes are delivered. For instance, data extraction from a photo-based passport will directly populate relevant data fields into required forms, making the way operations work even more efficient than ever before.
Accreditation is and should always be at the heart of operation and I foresee a greater need for integration of accreditation data into other event aspects that range from areas such as catering to transport.
I’m always enthusiastic about Accredit’s ability to embrace technological advancements….watch this space!
