Meet Mark Anderson
Say hello to Mark Anderson
How did you start working with Accredit?
I started working as a temporary registration staff for the sister company EAS in 2011, having spotted the company while working for London Fashion Week for a different company and asking if there were any jobs. After working at the Olympics, I took a job as Account Manager at EAS. Then moved to the Accredit Solutions, where I began as an Account Manager before moving over to be the Product Manager, working with the clients and team to develop the product.
What does your role entail at Accredit?
My role as Product Manager sits between the Sales, Development and Account Management teams building the future iterations and modules of the product to suit our client’s needs best.
Tell us something interesting about yourself?
I eat food only between the hours of 6pm – 8pm.
What is your biggest personal or professional achievements?
In professional life, I would say our wins of the Expo 2020 project and the launch of Accredit Multi were major achievements and great to be a part of. Also, gaining the innovation funding from Innovate UK allowed us to develop Accredit-GO to really make a useful impact on the markets we serve and allow them to operate safely during a pandemic. Finally, successfully gaining ISO 27001 certification for our information security processes was an important step in giving clients assurance in our data security.
If you could change something from your past what would it be?
I wouldn’t change anything in particular; I feel that everything so far makes you what you are today.
Who is the person you admire the most and why?
There is no one person I admire; there are characteristics I admire in many people, in particular in my parents and colleagues. To admire one person most is quite narrow.
How would your friends describe you?
I work too much, I don’t sleep enough.
What is the most interesting project you have worked on in your time at Accredit?
Probably working on our first music awards show Brits Awards or on our first go-live at Arsenal Football Club, which was Accredit’s first project.
What is your favourite functionality aspect of the Accredit platform?
The multi-venue functionality which we’ve recently released is extremely powerful to allow different configurations in different systems.
If you could spend 5 minutes with any person alive or dead, who would it be and why?
A younger version of myself. I would impart a lot of wisdom to 8-year-old me, which would not only result in me ultimately making some even better life decisions but would cause me to enjoy my childhood more while it lasted.
Tell us a joke.
