Shaping the Future of Accreditation and Preparing for 2025

 Shaping The Future Of Accreditation

At Accredit Solutions, we are launching an initiative that aims to bridge the gap between the events industry and the next generation of up-and-coming event professionals. We want to create the springboard for young people to gain firsthand exposure to the real world of events but more importantly accreditation, offering unique experiences that will allow them to learn our world and how we operate with some of the biggest events worldwide.

How does it fit into the broader picture of event management?

Accreditation Matters

Accreditation is more than just issuing a pass or device to an individual, it’s about ensuring the right people have the means to access the right places, safely and efficiently. To ensure that this key point is delivered it is Important that the individuals who in position to deliver Accreditation understand the clear principles required to implement Accreditation to the highest level. As the awareness of Accreditation becomes more and more prominent in today’s event world, Accredit Solutions has committed to producing as many qualified individuals as possible to grow and strengthen what is a key area in today’s events world.

What Is Our Approach?

To outline the process of how Accreditation is implemented from concept to delivery, the key areas to know and define and the various challenges/ pitfalls to watch out for. Helping young people understand the importance of the above only enhances their ability to play a part in accreditation operations or more importantly run the full accreditation operations when the opportunity becomes available with the experience behind them.

In addition to the theory, there needs to be the practical experience to see how this knowledge is applied in the real-world environment. At Accredit, we look to provide the practical, hands-on learning experiences in event accreditation. With our many clients and their brands providing direct involvement in live events, participants can gain invaluable insight and experience into accreditation. From sporting spectacles to large scale conferences, this initiative ensures that the next generation of event professionals is well equipped to step into the accreditation field with both knowledge and experience.

By working closely with higher education institutions, we aim to make young people aware of the significance of accreditation and its role in the broader event ecosystem. Our goal is to give them the tools they need so they are ready to take the opportunities available to them with both hands with the confidence to know they are ready to deliver.

This initiative is just the beginning of our commitment to shaping the future of event accreditation. We’re excited to see what comes next, and we’re looking forward to working with more higher education institutes and organisations to further expand our initiative.

Looking Ahead: Preparing For 2025

As we move closer to 2025, event planners should start thinking about their accreditation process and how to make their processes more efficient. Whether you’re organising a small event or a large-scale global spectacle, accreditation is a crucial component to every event.

Here are a few key points to review when planning for the new year:

  1. Is your current accreditation process up to date?
Event operations can be set as standard for a number of years, but it is important to check whether those operations are still applicable with your current Accreditation process. If not, it might be time to ask if some adjustments need to be made to bring your Accreditation plan up to date. Some aspects maybe redundant from legacy operations that no longer exist, or alternatively new aspects need to be added as your operations grow and need to be updated. Be sure to question the norm. If your operations remain the same for several years it may present the opportunity for copycats to understand how you operate which presents a risk to your events.
  2. Operational goals for the new year
As you prepare for 2025, re-evaluate if your current Accreditation operations are still meeting the standards, you have set. Your answer, maybe yes and the current operations work just fine. If the answer is no, then ask how you can adjust to meet this requirement? Whether this is through a new process, or an adjustment of an existing process be confident you can adjust not just at the start of the year but at any time whether that is with your accreditation system or operations in general.
  3. New technologies to improve efficiency?
At Accredit, we are always looking to be more efficient in every aspect of what we do and deliver and there is no off day to delivering new and helpful tools to aid your operations. As you look to embark on your new year be sure to ask what new tools are there that can assist with new or existing operational challenges you may deal with. Your system provider should be able to provide you with an update on new available tools for you to implement where required.
  4. Updating your stakeholders
In the same way you can refresh your operations for the new year, it is important that you do the same for your stakeholders that are part of your accreditation operations and system. Change can bring challenges so it’s important that you have brought your stakeholders up to date with your updates for the new year. You may find they have some ideas that may further enhance your operations or it may present a good opportunity to bring new faces into the process to ensure the knowledge of your operations is spread to the people that need to know.  Accreditation is only as effective as the people involved/ managing it. Make sure you have a solid training plan in place for anyone involved in the accreditation process, whether they’re managing registrations for their organisation staff or they are involved in the end to end process of registrations through to print and distribution.

By addressing these questions now, you’ll be better prepared for the complexities of the year to come and beyond.
